Extra sections are a bonus, not an obligation. Include one only if it adds a genuine signal a reader would otherwise miss.

What's usually worth including

• Certifications directly relevant to the role (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect for a cloud role)
• Awards that reflect professional or academic achievement, not attendance
• Languages, when the role or company is multilingual
• Volunteering, when it's substantial and shows relevant skills (e.g. led a nonprofit's engineering team)

What usually isn't

Hobbies with no connection to the role, references ("available upon request" is assumed, never write it), or a long list of every course you've ever finished. If a section doesn't change how a recruiter reads the rest of the page, cut it.
