Write

Skills

A relevant, scannable list of keywords, not a decoration with rating bars or star ratings.

Skills sections exist to be scanned fast, by a human and often by a keyword search first. Make that scan easy and honest.

Group by category, not by guesswork

Languages, frameworks, tools, or domains: whatever grouping matches how the role actually talks about the work. A flat wall of 40 tags is as unreadable as no list at all.

Skip the rating bars

A five-dot "proficiency" scale next to "Python" tells a recruiter nothing verifiable. Self-rated skill levels aren't comparable between candidates; list the skill and let your experience section prove the level.
