Include what's proportional to your career stage, full and prominent early on, brief and low on the page later.
How much space education deserves changes as your career grows. Treat it as evidence when you have little else, and as a footnote once work experience is doing the talking.
Early career: give it real space
Degree, institution, graduation year, and relevant coursework, honors, or a GPA above 3.5 if you have it. Placing it above your work experience is fine if your experience is thin; lead with your strongest section.
Ten-plus years in: keep it to one line
Degree, institution, and year, placed after work experience, no coursework, no GPA. Nobody hiring a senior engineer needs to know your sophomore-year electives.
